Summary: Excellent

Review: I would not recommend them. I took my 2004 Rav 4 because the transmission was shift hard and slipping. I was told I needed a new computer for $2800.00 and a new transmission $9200.00. The owner did offer me $500.00 for the car. Not sure what Ellis did to determine this other than drive it around the block and say yes the transmission slips and shifts hard. That will be $130.00. I took the car to another shop for a second opinion. They took the pan from the transmission and said the fluid was old and dirty and flushed the transmission twice and inspected it. The transmissions did not flip anymore but shifted harder than the shop liked. They recommended sending the computer out and having it reprogrammed. Cost to reprogram was $600.00 dollars. The transmission works perfectly now, drives like new. All in for the repair was $1500.00. I don’t see how Ellis came up with their price but they were sure eager to purchase the car for $500.00. I’m sure their wrench work is good as they have been in business for years. I had a bad experience and will not attempt to do business with them in the future.
