Summary: Professional

Review: I found Perry’s automotive to be quite organized and professional. They got under my car, took pictures of the faults and coordinated services to fully document my Brake and Lamp inspections. My 2002 Ford Escape XLT is a SALVAGE and the inspection was necessary for DMV REGISTRATION. Now, the negative criticism: I understand the business is business, and that in order to perform these inspections for DMV the technician must spend numerous hours in classroom training. Looking around the Redding area, there is only one other shop with a qualified tech. An appointment is necessary for this, and it was lengthy for me. (DMV issues a day pass to get the vehicle from home to the shop). With all this considered, I feel both shops have us over the barrel and can charge huge sums for the inspection. Perry’s was slightly less expensive than their competitors, but had I chosen to let them do the discovered repairs, it would have cost more than I actually paid for my vehicle. So I’m doing the work at home. Even so, Perry’s is going to charge me $180 again for the next inspection. Why? I’m feeling this is unfair.
