"If you are looking for good honest automotive repair this is the place. We are not from Redding nor do we live in Redding now we were simply passing through. We were in the process of moving from Arizona to Washington. We had two vehicles with us a Highlander which was having battery trouble and a Tundra. Before we left Arizona we had the Toyota dealer replace the water pump on the Tundra. The truck had been driven about 800 miles and we were just outside of Sacramento when smoke appeared from under the hood of the Tundra. We pulled over immediately to see what the problem was and found that the dealer in Yuma Arizona had installed the serpentine drive belt incorrectly causing it to shed an outer cord which whipped through the engine compartment destroying hoses and fittings as it went then finally wrapping its self around the fan shaft. It was late in the day when we called the Toyota dealer in North East Sacramento they said that they would stay open late to help us. As we tried to figure out how to get the truck to the dealer I called the dealer back and was told that they actually didn’t have the parts we needed and they wouldn’t be able to get them for two days! That was not disclosed on the first calls. I won’t bore you with all the details of how we made it from Sacramento to Redding and ended up at Perry’s Automotive but we did so... The following morning we were in Redding and called the local Toyota dealer to see if they could help us. They stated that they were too busy and wouldn’t be able to get the parts for two days anyway. That was when we found Perry’s Automotive on line. We called them told them our problem and told them that we need to get back on the road as quickly as possible. They assured us that they could do the job and get it done quickly. We drove to their shop where we were greeted like long time customers. We were pulling a trailer that had to be disconnected before they could start work they helped get the trailer disconnected and secured. Then they began working on t"
