"My car had recently shown me the anxiety causing Check Engine Light and I had unsuccessfully tried to call/visit several big company auto part/repair places for a simple diagnostics. I called Erin at Pearl City Auto Works and she told me to bring the car on by and they would be able to at least provide this service for me on a Saturday. I appreciated the upfrontness on probably not being able to do any service on the car but they could diagnose the car and find out the codes for the problem. I brought the car by and within 10 minutes I found out the problem. Unfortunately, the code was for something the shop doesn't specialize in but she was super helpful and provided me a name and number of another person that does that type of work. This is the most helpful & professional auto shop I have ever been to on island and main land included. I would have gladly asked for them to service my car given the circumstances they could. I recommend this shop if you want a fair, quick, and local place to take care of your cars auto issues. Mahalo!"

"During the first rain squall I discovered that my windshield wipers made an incredible amount of noise and were streaking. Since an even bigger storm was approaching, I called Tim (my go-to mechanic) to see if Portola Valley Garage had wipers that would fit my Prius. Tim said no, but he could get them by 2 that afternoon. I went in later in the afternoon and had the wipers installed and my tires inflated to their proper level. Now my car is as ready as it could be in time for the big rain. What great service! Thanks, Tim and Portola Valley Garage! There's a reason why you're my mechanics of choice!"

"The engine light code was cleared concerning the steering wheel sensor, but the light came on again not long after, I think it was the next day. I checked the steering fluid level then myself and it wasn't even registering on the stick. I am not sure why that was not checked when you had the car and why I paid $18 to have the code cleared, but nothing was fixed. I did appreciate the transport to and from work. No, I would not recommend this business"
