"Driving up to my business in Reno my Dodge truck backfired and the famous check engine light came on. The truck would surge at cold idle. Concerned for my return trip one of my employees recommended Roy Foster. They did a full diagnostic on the truck at a reasonable price. They laid out what had to be replaced (PCM) and re-calibrated (TCM). I would have gladly had Foster's repair the truck. I do most of my own work and got a good feeling from dealing with them. However, my schedule dictated that I take a chance and limp home, fortunately it wasn't much of a limp. The truck seems to be okay, but still has the check engine light on and I've had problems with control modules in other vehicles before. For 136,000+ miles and 11 years without major problems, with the same battery and exhaust system the trucks entitled to some new parts."
