"I called on Alternative Auto Care at the last minute to fix a brake-light problem the day before I left on vacation. They had to squeeze me in, but gladly made the effort. They fixed the immediate problem so I could take my trip and I'll definitely go back to find out what's really wrong. In fact, I took our other car to them this week after it overheated. They quickly diagnosed the problem and called to give me an estimate. The actual repair was a bit more expensive because they had to flush the radiator but overall I thought it was reasonable. They are professional, courteous, good mechanics and great to work with."

"I brought my 2005 Mini Cooper into German Auto Sport on 8/3/15 because my battery light went on. I thought it would be a quick battery replacement, and then I'd be on my way.Unfortunately for me, the alternator went out, and I was running off of the battery. Fortunately for me, I'd brought my car to the right place. In 10 minutes, Chris had diagnosed while I was waiting, and we got some paperwork going. Chris had Zack drive me to Enterprise up San Pablo Ave., and within half an hour, I was on my way. He even got me a discounted rate for my rental car.I was able to pick up my car the next day, and Chris kept the shop open a few minutes after closing because he knew I'd be in to pick up my car but wasn't able to make it in before 6.Two weeks later, this past Sunday, I was driving home, and my car went into limp mode and the service engine light went on. I brought her back to German Auto Sport yesterday, and Chris once again took care of me right away. The engine codes read some shorts in my engine fan and alternator.I just spoke to Chris (who is very communicative and super-responsive to calls and emails), and sure enough, the alternator that came from the manufacturer is bad. Chris is replacing it again for me at no charge, and he is even taking care of my rental while they have my Mini. The new alternator has already been ordered, and I'll get my car back tomorrow.I can't say enough good things about German Auto Sport. Chris takes the time to explain exactly what is going on, and why they recommend the work they do. This is the first repair shop where I haven't been talked down to, and that's important to me (just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't know car stuff). Chris is honest, and taking care of his customers is important to him.I highly recommend German Auto Sport for Mini repairs. I won't be taking my car anywhere else."

"Imagine summer vacation road trip from Texas to Colorado. One mom and three kids traveling alone. Outside Pagosa Springs, the engine of our 2007 Suburban starts to make a really odd noise. Then things go downhill from there! We arrived at our hotel in Durango in a panic and asked the hotel desk clerk who he'd recommend in town to tow the truck to for repairs. He unreservedly said "Don at Mountain Mechanical." And that is where our worries ended. Yes, we needed an expensive new transmission which in itself is a real bummer but because we were directed to an honest shop with really talented mechanics, the whole situation was very easy on our family. Don and Phil went above and beyond anything they billed us for and made sure we knew exactly what was done. Common sense, integrity and personal concern for clients....you can find that often these days especially in an emergency situation. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mountain Mechanical to anyone in the Durango area. Wish they had a shop in Austin, Texas!"
