"I have gone to LBR for 25 years with Acura, Honda, BMW and Lexus. There has never been a problem, and LBR does not put pressure to perform more work than the customer wants. This is not a "low cost" shop, but there are no surprises. The communication by phone and after-hours key drop went very well, although an improvement is needed in handling text messages."

The few times I've been to them have all been painless and incredibly refreshing after dealing with other auto service companies. The prices are better than even the place where my friend ""knows a guy"", and the service isn't just passable, it's downright friendly. This is the only place I even consider taking my vehicle to anymore, and the only place I feel completely comfortable recommending to my friends and family. "Had an issue with rear differential that I wanted repaired with urgency| told German motors it needed to be done ASAP as I had an 8hr+ drive ahead of me. The combination of these factors made for a situation other auto shops would have taken advantage of, as did the first two that expectedly over-priced an estimate. German motors has integrity, they did not. They also offered a ride service that is a rarity among auto shops. I only wish German motors were operating out of San Francisco."

"Doing business with Protech for 18+ years. This was the least favorable experience. Scheduled an oil change for 3 days in advance. Arrived on time for a usual 15-20 minute service. Not overly busy but service took 60 minutes. No explanation from staff. Technician finally arrived and explained that oil had dripped on to hot exhaust system and had to be cooled before removing. No comments from staff during this time. Had to change balance of schedule for remainder of the day. Basic communications would have been expected."
