"My girlfriend brought her '98 Escort in due to a prominent coolant leak and disturbing automatic transmission phenomena (e.g., wouldn't go beyond second gear, etc.). Chris told us to bring it down, so we had it towed in via AAA. Unfortunately, being a tired, somewhat sad, abused, high mileage 15 year old car, Chris informed us that the transmission repairs would probably exceed the value of the car, and then some (not to mention the leaky coolant hose), confirming our gravest suspicions. Chris was kind enough to forego the diagnostic fee, and sent us on our way with the distinct impression that Eric Krebs Auto's numerous positive reviews are well deserved. Although we didn't get the car fixed (and will probably have to scrap/salvage the poor sucker), we got the impression that this place is an honest, straightforward, and worthwhile place to take your car for repairs. Located near Fairview and Hollister on the 200 block of Orange Ave, Eric Krebs Auto is easy to find, has a friendly staff, and a professional atmosphere. In the future, when we need another car repaired, or a friend or family member does, this is the definitely the place. Thanks."
